In the pastures below Ekbacken and along the shores of Lake Mälaren we find the farm's most diligent environmental workers: fifteen cows hold meadows grazed and their most important task is to keep open landscapes so that we can preserve our valuable nature and cultural environment.

The cows are untethereded all year round and during the winter they live at Lennartsnäs, The calves are sold to other breeders for organic meat production.
